Through a cooperative agreement, the Office of Energy and Environmental Analysis (OEEA) is responsible for implementation of the DNR´s responsibilities pertaining to the development of the state´s transportation infrastructure (highways, airports, railways, and harbors).

Throughout the process of planning, designing and building transportation projects, OEEA works together with WisDOT on a variety of issues that frequently involve erosion control, waterway crossings and potential impacts to wetlands, fisheries and endangered species.

OEEA is also responsible for reviewing highway projects proposed by local units of government, specifically those requiring a Trans 207 review. 

DNR staff who manage the review of DOT and Trans 207 projects are located in the regions and in the central office (located in Madison). A list of these contacts is below:

Flood Damage

The Department has developed a Fact sheet [PDF 71KB] to provide guidance about repairs to bridges, culverts and roads damaged due to declared flood disasters.
