Become a conservation warden
Resources Women in Enforcement |
Law Enforcement Profile, Shawna Stringham
Being a part of the warden force is a positive and rewarding feeling. The wardens are very competitive. If you are doing your job and doing it well then there should not be a problem, male or female. The competitiveness of the warden force pushes you and only makes you strive to be your best. Coming from a different state (Iowa), it was very obvious to me how much more advanced Wisconsin wardens are over other states. The equipment you receive and the new technology the force is using makes you keep up with the times. There are definitely more pros’s than cons about being a warden. I often cannot believe I am getting paid for doing this job! -- Shawna Stringhorn, Rock County Conservation Warden Last Revised: Wednesday May 17 2006
