Hunter hiding in here!
View the Camouflage Blinds Hunter Safety Video [VIDEO Length :33] Camouflage can be a great way to hide from the game you’re hunting. Unfortunately, it can also conceal you from other hunters. Putting blaze orange on a blind won’t scare off deer or turkeys, but it will help keep you safe. Conservation wardens want you to be safe while hunting. If you use a camouflage blind, take steps to make sure other hunters know you are afield. Wisconsin ’s conservation wardens are noticing a trend towards the use of camouflage enclosures while hunting deer. This is a great way to hide from the deer; however it hinders the blaze orange clothing requirement and increases the likelihood of an accidental shooting. The DNR wants you to be safe while hunting. Take steps to make sure other hunters know you are afield. Hang a piece of blaze orange cloth from a branch above or next to you or put a board painted blaze orange on your tree stand or blind. Other safety measures include placing a temporary blaze orange band around the tree you sit next to, and placing a blaze orange sign “Camouflaged Hunter in Area - Be Careful” in your vehicle window. Remember….Safe hunting is no accident.Last Revised: Tuesday October 16 2007
