Community Financial Assistance (CFA)CFA administers grant and loan programs. Program staff work closely with local governments and interested organizations to develop and support projects that protect public health, natural resources, the environment and outdoor recreational opportunities. Environmental LoansEnvironmental loans are available for drinking water, wastewater, and brownfield projects. GrantsGrants are available for acquisition of land and easements for conservation and outdoor recreation purposes, conservation, dam rehabilitation/abandonment, dry cleaner remediation, forest fire protection, urban forestry, gypsy moth, hunter education, lakes, municipal flood control, nonpoint source runoff pollution, parks, recreational facilities and trails, recycling, habitat restoration, rivers, small and abandoned dam removal, stewardship, urban wildlife damage and well compensation.
