Nonpoint Targeted Runoff Management Program (TRM)(s. 281.65, Wis. Stats., and ch. NR 153, Wis. Adm. Code) Governmental units and tribes can be reimbursed up to 70 percent of eligible costs associated with installing Best Management Practices (BMP) to limit or end nonpoint source (run-off) water pollution. Efforts are focused in critical watersheds and lakes where nonpoint source-related water quality problems are most severe and control is most feasible. Projects are selected based on a competitive process until all available funds have been allocated.
