Phillips Plastics Corporation, Metal Injection Molding, a 30,000 square foot facility located in Menomonie, manufactures high precision stainless steel components using state-of-the-art techniques. Their ISO 14001 certified Environmental Management System focuses on employee education, recycling, and energy consumption. Metal Injection Molding maintains an extensive recycling program to reduce its solid waste, encourages its employees to recycle and save energy at home, and reviews all new projects, products and parts for possible emissions and recyclability. They have also taken steps to improve air quality by removing 99% of formaldehyde from their emissions. As Green Tier participants, Metal Injection Molding will utilize ideas and methods generated by employees to continually improve their environmental performance.
