Phillips Plastic Corporation® is a world-class injection molder of plastics, metal, ceramic, and silicone. The Phillips Medical – New Richmond* facility is one of 14 Phillips facilities located in the state of Wisconsin. With their corporate philosophy of “All People Are Important” the company dedicates the time and staff needed to train their workers in day-to-day operations while incorporating respect for the environment. As an example, in 2007 employee programs resulted in 700 trees planted, 999 energy saving lamps sold and many free home energy audits provided. Focusing on low volume medical programs, Phillips Medical – New Richmond utilizes an Environmental Management System (EMS) registered to ISO 14001 to assist in managing both regulated and unregulated environmental aspects. Their waste reduction, reuse, and recycling successes are numerous, and the newly retrofitted lighting system for the Phillips Medical – New Richmond facility could save over 250,000 kW of energy a year. As a Green Tier participant, Phillips Medical – New Richmond will work toward superior environmental performance utilizing continuous improvement processes focused on reducing waste generation, energy use, and exploring additional recycling options in order to better their relationship with their natural environment, workers and community.
