Holsum Dairies, LLC Green Tier - Tier 1 Participant Green Tier 1 applicant

Holsum Dairies' two farms, Irish Dairy and Elm Dairy, are located near Hilbert, midway between Lake Michigan and Winnebago. Each Grade A milk producing sites cares for about 3600 milking cows and about 400 dry cows at any one time.

Our focus is on continually optimizing our Nutrient Management Plan, our surface and groundwater protection strategy and our conversion of manure into electricity and fertilizer. Holsum's Green Tier Level One Environmental Management System aids in implementing and consistently documenting our core culture of environmental sensitivity, environmental protection and environmental restoration. Both the design and daily operation of the dairies reflect this commitment.

By continuing to grow our rural business, we create more opportunities for our feed, equipment, construction, and animal health suppliers and serve as a reminder that modern dairies and Wisconsin's beautiful countyside can thrive in respectful partnership.
