Green Tier - Tier 1 Participant

Edgewood College is a community of people dedicated to a dynamic educational heritage. It is located on 55 acres of land adjacent to Lake Wingra in Madison, Wisconsin. Edgewood has made a significant commitment to ensuring the environmental health of the campus and the surrounding community. Environmental issues are central to Edgewood’s philosophy and its approach to campus improvement. The "Green Campus Task Force" has engaged students, faculty and staff in creating an environmentally sustainable living and learning community. Through participation in Green Tier, Edgewood is developing an Environmental Management System and expanding its role as an environmental leader to enhance the strong synergy between the College's academic credentials and environmental standards. The college is focusing on waste minimization, energy use, recycling and water conservation.
