Volatile organic compounds (VOCs) are emitted as gases from a wide array of products including paints and lacquers, cleaning supplies, pesticides, building materials, glues and adhesives. More information about VOCs and their effects can be found at: Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) 1985-2007.
ECPP participants have reduced their VOC emissions by more than 45% since the baseline year of 2000. This was achieved in spite of a slight increase in emissions through 2004 and 2005. By comparison, VOC emissions from all other stationary sources in Wisconsin have declined nearly 25% since 2000.
