Tom Eggert is a specialist in Environmental Policy, and specifically one of the faces of Green Tier, at the WI Department of Natural Resources. He has worked for the DNR for the past 13 years in a variety of roles, including time as the director of the Office of Pollution Prevention. He has completed the RAB ISO 14001 Lead Auditor Training and has overseen the development of an Environmental Management System for the Waste Program at the DNR. He has an extensive background in sustainable development, corporate social and environmental responsibility and innovative approaches to protecting the environment.

He is a former Assistant Attorney General for the State of Montana';s Department of Health and Environmental Sciences and a former Peace Corps volunteer. A distinguished lecturer, Tom teaches several courses on sustainability at the Business School at the University of Wisconsin, and is an advisor to a student group dedicated to developing sustainable businesses. He is a 1981 graduate of the University of Wisconsin and received a law degree from the National Law Center at George Washington University in 1987. He also holds a Masters Degree in Public Administration from the LaFollette School at the University of Wisconsin.
