Be a Herpetologist!

Dear EEK,

I want to be a herpetologist (the scientific study of reptiles and amphibians) when I grow up. I love amphibians, reptiles, being outdoors, and visiting the zoo. I would really like to know where some good colleges are for this kind of job. I reeeeeeeeeeeeally want to be a herpetologist, but I don't want to go far away for college. Please put some information on EEK! so I can find out a little more about herpetologists. Thank you!

Dear Amanda,

There are a few schools where you can take a herpetology class and others where you can get a master in some area of "herp" research, but I don t know any schools that offer a herpetology undergraduate degree. Check out this list of universities around the country. You can also read this letter from Kristi. She studied herpetology in college and has a few tips for you.
