American Bullfrog
How to Identify: 3 1/2 - 6 in. (9-15 cm); plain green with dark markings; no ridges along its back. Habitat: Permanent bodies of water. Breeding: June through July.
Voice: Deep bass notes similar to a foghorn; "jug-o-rum" or like drawing a bow across a bass fiddle.
