Are you ready for a good challenge? Design a fish! Track down a wild animal! Build a masterpiece that can withstand the test of time! You can do it. You can even choose to take good care of the precious resource we call the Great Lakes. Try your hand at these six challenges:

• Read a Fish: Figure out where fish live and how they survive by taking a good look at them! Then, use the information to design your own imaginary fish.

• Go Wild: Challenge your family or friends to see who can find the most wild animal sign on the beach.

• Go Fly a Kite!: Discover wind speed and Great Lake’s breezes with the help of a bright, colorful pocket kite.

• Defend Your Castle!: Battle the evil forces of erosion! Stand firm and protect your sand castle from the oncoming waves.

• Choose Your Ripple Effect: Describe what you would do when confronted with a sticky situation. Maybe you can relate to a courageous storybook frog who stands up for his environment.

• Sweep a Beach: Make a difference by picking up trash on a section of beach and learning what else you can do to help keep it clean.
