My Waist High Carp
By: David, age 5
We only had a little time to fish. As we were getting ready to go, Dad handed me his pole because he felt a big fish on it. I started to reel it in. I felt a big fish on the line. The fish swam away toward an island and then got up near the dock. Dad had to help me keep it away from the post. We swung it around the post and then I guided it up onto the rocks. Dad picked up and it was almost from the ground all the way to my waist. Then we threw it into the Fox River and watched it swim away.
Thanks for the story, David! That sounds like a big fish!
