Air Pollution Construction Permits, also known as New Source Review Permits allow facilities to construct, modify or replace an air pollution source. These permits are required under various parts of the Federal Clean Air Act. More information on Air Permit Programs can be found at: Air Permit Programs.
The information in the table below is for permits going through the normal process. The data does not include permits that are delayed due to requests from applicant for withholding action, after-the-fact permits where the applicant has already constructed the facility and permits delayed for compliance issues are not included in the averages shown below.
The average number of days from receipt of a complete application to issuance will be no more than 90 days
The average number of days from complete application to issuance was 101 days, slightly exceeding the 90-day goal established to 2004. In addition all applications received and processed after February 6, 2004 were acted on within the new regulations established in Wisconsin Act 118.
