Wisconsin's Waste & Materials Management ProgramThe Waste Management program has developed a number of formatted lists and reports to help fill the need of citizens of Wisconsin for timely information about regulated facilities/entities. Licensed Facility/Operations ListsAnnual operating licenses issued for solid, hazardous, and infectious waste activities cover a one year period, effective October 1 and expiring September 30. Licenses may be applied for and issued throughout the year, however, license fees if applicable, are not pro-rated. For more information about the licensing process or to obtain application materials, please contact the Waste Management Environmental Program Associate for the area of the state where your operation is located. For out-of-state transport services, make your selection based on where the majority of your business will be conducted. The following lists of licensed facilities/operations are available sorted by facility name:
The following lists of licensed facilities/operations are available sorted by county and include information about the types of waste handled by the licensee. Please note, "county" refers to the location of the licensed operation, not its service area. A licensed operation may service an area covering multiple counties or may operate statewide. Contact the licensee directly to see if they operate in your area. Licensed operations located outside of Wisconsin are shown at the end of the list.
List of Small and Intermediate Size Construction and Demolition LandfillsSmall size construction and demolition (C&D) landfills have a design capacity of 50,000 cubic yards or less. Intermediate size C&D landfills have a design capacity of at least 50,000 cubic yards but no more than 250,000 cubic yards. Both dispose of only construction and demolition wastes. The department approves a plan of operation for both small and intermediate size C&D landfills but these sites do not obtain a license.
