Forestry Aids to Counties

(s. 23.09(18), Wis. Stats.)

Counties that have more than 40,000 acres enrolled under the Forest Crop and Managed Forest Laws receive annual payments. DNR's Forest Tax Program calculates eligibility and the corresponding level of assistance. Funds are apportioned based on the county's share of eligible acreage.
