DEVIL'S LAKE STATE PARK, Wis. - The names of an Illinois family involved in a June 1 fatality at Devil's Lake State Park are being released. The father, Kevin R. Spahr, age 51, and son Kyle A. Spahr, age 13, were injured. The daughter, Allison Spahr, age 11, was killed.

At approximately 4:00 a.m. on June 1, an oak tree fell onto the family's tent leading to the daughter's death. A thunderstorm had passed through the area. The outward appearance of the tree showed no evidence of weakness during prior regularly scheduled campground inspections.

Staff of the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources again would like to express their condolences to the family.
