Emerald Ash Borer ToolkitThe DNR Urban Forestry Program has produced an Emerald Ash Borer Toolkit for Wisconsin Communities to prepare them for the anticipated arrival of EAB. Here are some of the resources available in the toolkit:
Emerald Ash Borer Toolkit.
How to get a toolkitThe toolkit comes in two formats, as downloadable files from this web page or a CD. In addition you can browse the table of contents and view or copy individual files. Currently we recommend receiving this toolkit information by either downloading, printing specific files or ordering a CD.
Updates to the EAB ToolkitThe original toolkit was released on February 4, 2007. As new toolkit items are added and existing items revised, we will be posting update packages for downloading. These will include a revised table of contents which will note where the new files go and what documents the revised files replace. Check back periodically for these updates. Updates have occurred in: June 2007, June 2008, August 2008, and June 2009. How the EAB Toolkit was DevelopedThis toolkit is a collaborative effort with the Wisconsin DNR, Wisconsin Department of Agriculture Trade and Consumer Protection, UW-Extension, and USDA Forest Service. Contributions from other states, universities, community foresters, arborists, and municipal staff helped guide its development. The toolkit is designed for maximum flexibility to accommodate the needs of various users. More InformationFor more information on emerald ash borer, go to http://emeraldashborer.wi.gov (exit DNR).
