Forestry and Energy Legislation [Exit DNR] Forestry Expert Sees Credits for the Trees -Capital PressFor years, Jay O'Laughlin and research associates at the University of Idaho talked about carbon sequestration. Firewood Processor Turns Up the Heat on Invasives -The Country TodayChad Zeman, president of Green Thumb Farms, a firewood and mulch business near Prairie du Sac in Sauk County, hosted an on-site portion of a training workshop for heat treatment of firewood. According to Terry Mace, DNR forest utilization and marketing specialist, kiln operations such as Zeman's may be a necessity in the future.
