Northern Highland - American Legion State ForestTimber Sale Program
Twice each year (May and November), the NH-AL State Forest conducts a bid opening to sell tracts of timber established by its staff of professional foresters. A bid package is prepared and will be available about two to three weeks prior to the bid opening. The bid package lists each tract's location, the quantity and price of the timber offered, and any special conditions pertaining to that tract. Timber sale bid results showing the tracts sold, their bid (selling) prices, and who purchased them will be posted within one week after the bid opening. Northern Highland-American Legion State Forest Certification NumbersCertification of Wisconsin's forestry programs by independent, third-party organizations means that management of Wisconsin's forests meets strict standards for ecological, social and economic sustainability. The state forests are certified under the standards of both the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) and the Sustainable Forest Initiative (SFI). Certification numbers for the NH-AL are:
