NOTICE: To all of you who have fond memories of the Clear Lake Contact Station, it's time to say Goodbye! Starting Tuesday, September 4th 2007, the Clear Lake Campground, Clear Lake Dump Station and Clear Lake Campground boat landing on the Northern Highland-American Legion State Forest will be closed until spring of 2008 to facilitate the construction of a brand new contact station and super dump station. Our apologies to those who like to camp at Clear Lake in the fall and winter months, but it's a perfect opportunity to try some of the other beautiful campgrounds. Indian Mounds and Carol will be open after September 4th using self-registration as usual. Campers wishing to dump will need to go to North Trout Lake on Hwy M or Crystal Lake on Hwy N. There is another boat landing on the other side of Clear Lake off of Hwy J. The February Candle Light Ski and Hike will still take place on the Raven Trail. The event starting point will be moved, and we will have more information on that location later this year. And as for winter camping, this year sites in the Crystal Lake Campground will be kept open. The Crystal lake Contact Station is now open year round. Last Revised: Monday May 19 2008
