The Black River State Forest is public land to be enjoyed by everyone. Dumping unwanted items on the state forest is not only illegal, but it also creates an unsightly and hazardous blemish on our landscape. Please be responsible and properly dispose of your unwanted personal items at recycling centers, during local clean sweep programs or at designated drop sites.

Law enforcement actions will be taken to cite those who litter on the Black River State Forest. To report littering violations you observe, call the confidential Violation Hotline at 1-800-847-9367 or report these incidents to law enforcement staff on the property at 715-284-4103.
