Fishing Reports and Ice Conditions

Fish biologists assess the coming season's prospects and share their favorite fishing spots.

General information on ice conditions and fishing reports are available for selected spots throughout the state in the Wisconsin Outdoor Report on a weekly basis.

The DNR does not monitor ice conditions or the thickness of the ice. Since ice conditions can change rapidly, it is always best to check local weather reports and/or a local source. Many private fishing clubs, chambers of commerce and local newspapers maintain internet sites with ice fishing conditions and reports.
