Ice Fishing in Wisconsin

While Winter is officially over there's still some great ice fishing left. Panfish are putting on the bite and though the game fishing season's closed on most inland waters, anglers can still fish for select game fish species on some waters, including the Wisconsin River. Check the Specific County Regulations in the Hook and Line fishing regulations pamphlet. The early catch and release trout season is also open.

All ice shanties should be off the ice, except for portable shanties which can be used but must be removed daily when it's not occupied or actively being used.
