Password Problems

If you can't remember your password or are unable to log into the Switchboard make sure that you are entering your Wisconsin User ID and password exactly as you created them. Initially the error message will be "Login failed. Please try again." After several tries the message will be "Your Account is locked". There are two options to help you get back on-line:

  • The first is the account recovery option. To use this you need either your Wisconsin User ID or e-mail address, and the answer to the secret question that you created when you applied for your ID. If you can remember your answer (if prompted with your question) you can use the Forgot your password? Is your account locked? link at the bottom of the Wisconsin Login Page.   • If you can't remember your answer (even when you see the question) or if your answer isn't accepted, the Support Center can help you. Use this link: Support Center which will bring up a form and enter your contact information (the required items are marked with a star), then hit the Submit button on the bottom of the screen. Note that we have pre-filled some of the information to help route the message correctly. All you need to enter is your contact information.
