First Day Hike

Time: 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Activities: Hike, Outdoor activity, Snowshoeing
Location: Perrot SP

Join us for a snowshoe hike at Perrot State Park. We will start at the Nature Center and go past our effigy mounds up to the Black Walnut Nature Trail. On our way back, we'll stop at the observation deck and enjoy views of Trempealeau Mountain. After kicking off the snowshoes, we'll enjoy a few s'mores and hot cocoa at the Nature Center. No pets allowed at this hike. Meet at the Nature Center.


Perrot SP information

Perrot State Park, where the Trempealeau River meets the Mississippi River, offers breathtaking views from 500-foot bluffs. The river bank and surrounding wetlands provide wonderful habitat for the many migratory birds that travel through this area twice a year. Unique to southwestern Wisconsin and Perrot are the goat prairies perched high on the bluffs.
