Work Play Earth Day - Celebrate EARTH DAY by volunteering at your State Parks!

Time: 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Activities: Outdoor activity, Volunteer opportunity, Work day, Work Play Earth Day
Location: Mirror Lake SP

Celebrate EARTH DAY 2018 by volunteering at your Wisconsin State Parks, Forests, Trails and Recreation Areas!

Volunteers are needed to help clear brush and leaves from campsites and roadways, plant trees and pick up litter. Volunteers should wear work shoes/boots, long pants, and gloves. We will meet at the Bluewater Bay Campground Shelter where we will divide up into crews from there. The Friends of Mirror Lake will be providing an energy break part way through the morning. Individual and group efforts are all welcome! Children must be accompanied by an adult. Sign up is not required but appreciated for project planning. Sign up by calling the park at 608-254-2333.

Mirror Lake SP information

This park is named for its centerpiece, a lake which often is so Locationcalm that not a ripple marks its surface. The lake reflects a wooded shoreline with cliffs up to 50 feet high, a swimming beach, and wetlands that are home to a variety of wildlife. The park's 2,200 acres includes several picnic areas, wooded campsites, summer rentals, and a cabin for people with disabilities.
