Join us for a relaxing 2.1-mile evening hike along the Ice Age National Scenic Trail between the Greenbush Group Camp and Hwy 67. A shuttle will be available between the starting and finishing spot. Journey into Darkness Night Hike

As the sun sets and the light fades from the sky, the day animals retire and a new group of animals awakens. We will explore the darkening world for sounds of the night. Bring your bug spray and sense of adventure. This night hike is best for families/groups with children at least 5 years old. Saturday Morning Nature Sleuths

Calling all youth to unravel the mysteries of nature by participating in the Wisconsin Explorers program! The program involves completing a required number of engaging nature activities in one of three age appropriate books (ages 3-5, ages 6-8, and ages 9+) to earn a very cool patch. Get help from a naturalist who will work with youth on activities from one of the first four topic areas of the books. Fish Fest

Let the fishing fun begin! Learn how to fish at the Learn to Fish Rodeo or sign up for a Learn to Fly Fish session. Marvel at the unique adaptations of fish. Create your own fish print T-shirt or bandana. Take in a fish cooking demonstration and find out ways to impede the spread of aquatic exotics. Even drop a line in the water to try to catch a fish or two. Fishing equipment provided. To register for learn to fly fishing, call (920) 533-8322 by June 1. No fishing license needed, since it is Free Fishing Weekend, and no admission sticker required as it is Wisconsin State Park System's Open House Weekend. But native pollinators face serious declines with some on the brink of extinction. Whether you are a gardener, farmer, beekeeper, or just interested, join Carrie Caselton-Lowe, an ecologist and organic farmer, to find out ways to help bring back the pollinators. Plan to make and take home a simple bee nest to start building pollinator habitat in your yard and community. This program is best for people over 8 years old. Cache Quest

Use your geocaching and riddle solving skills to complete three quests to rescue the Glacier King, Water Queen, and Forest Prince. Special prizes awarded to the teams that finish all three quests the quickest. Teams can register at any of the three locations. The Cache Quest is open to all ages. Learn to geocache lessons provided at 9:00 am and 12:00 pm at the Ice Age Visitor Center. No vehicle admission sticker required, since it is Wisconsin State Park System's Open House Weekend. Journey to Spruce Lake Bog Evening Exploration

Bogs are very special communities with a lot of uncommon plants and animals. Explore Spruce Lake Bog, a National Natural Landmark, for carnivorous plants, "bouncing soils," and rare flowers. Wear old shoes in case you get your feet wet. We will meet at the Ice Age Visitor Center and then car pool the three miles over to Spruce Lake Bog. This exploration is for people over the age of 12 years. Location: Ice Age Visitor Center (off Hwy 67 half mile west of Dundee) and Spruce Lake Bog. Get Directions - Ice Age Visitor Center
