Exemptions

Facilities that emit air pollutants below certain levels are exempt from construction permits. They can check with the DNR and confirm the exemption. The facility doesn't have to get an official exemption letter from the DNR, but they take on the added risk of possible penalties if they don't and the DNR later finds they should have had a permit.
