Air Permits and Modeling

The Air Management permit program is responsible for issuing permits to facilities that emit pollutants to the atmosphere. These permits help protect public health and the environment by requiring that sources comply with all applicable state and federal air regulations. The following information is intended to help businesses, industry, and the public understand air permits including when a permit is needed, the review process, applicable regulations, air quality modeling, and how to actually apply for a permit. There is even a chart to help track the review process.
