1,2-Dichloroethane (Ethylene dichloride; EDC)

USEPA compiles testing information on air pollution sources and then determines a general number that can be used to determine an air emission by multiplying the general USEPA number times the activity for the process (e.g. the amount of fuel burned). This general USEPA number is called an emission factor and is available in a paper reference called Compilation of Air Pollutant Emission Factors, Volume 1: Stationary Point and Area Sources, which also is known by its EPA Publication number, AP42. The electronic version of the same AP42 information is contained in an USEPA database known as the Factor Information Retrival (FIRE) database.
