2008 Air Emission Inventory Internet Reporting

Reporting Information

  • This year the hazardous waste information is now located on separate web pages.
  • If you have not obtained a Web Access Management System (WAMS) ID or reporting authorization for air emission inventory reporting, you will need to complete the two step process for the DNR Switchboard.
  • If you expected to report for a facility or a report authorization and did not see it when you logged on, then you need to send an email message to Ralph.Patterson@Wisconsin.gov for air emissions at
  • Step by Step Instructions on how to begin reporting for the annual air emission inventory.

Important Dates

  • Friday, January 9, 2009-Email notification sent to all 2008 air emission inventory reporters
  • Thursday, January 15, 2009- 10:00 a.m. -DNR webinar where both the Air Reporting System (ARS) and Hazardous Waste Reporting System were demonstrated. You can view on-demand videos.
  • Monday, March 2, 2009-Air Emission Inventory and Hazardous Waste Reporting Deadline.
  • Monday, March 16, 2009-Air Emission Inventory deadline for those facilities that received a time extension from their regional compliance person.
  • Friday, April 24, 2009-Preliminary air emission summaries emailed out to reporting companies for checking calculations.
  • Friday, May 22, 2009-Final air emission summaries emailed to companies. At that time, most companies will be asked to certify their emissions by signing an attached certification form.
  • Tuesday, June 30, 2009-Environmental fees and signed air certifications due to DNR.

Bugs and Scheduled System Improvements

The Air Reporting System (ARS) summary module is not working. This module generates summary reports of the data entered into ARS. This module needed to be extensively rewritten this year to accommodate the air emissions that can now be calculated at each ARS session and is not ready for this release. We intend to have this module working by mid-February, if not sooner. Please review this web page or the bugs web page for updates to our progress regarding this module.

Although this feature is not available at this time, we would advise the user to still hit the ARS submit button and send the data to DNR. The data will be locked after the submit button is clicked. The data will not be changed. You can then return and run a summary report once the feature is available.
