- AIRNow EPA's AIRNow
website contains comprehensive air quality maps and forecasts, real-time
images of air quality and visibility via webcams, information on "air
action days" in major metropolitan areas around the country, documentation
on the Air Quality Index (AQI), and suggestions on that you can do to
help improve the air quality where you live. It also provides real-time
air quality for over 100 cities across the U.S. and links to more detailed
State and local air quality websites. Initially funded by EPA's Environmental
Monitoring for Public Access and Community Tracking (EMPACT), it is
a joint partnership between EPA, State and local air quality agencies.
