At the root of developing the Black River State Forest Master plan is the belief that those interested in the future of our forest lands should have the opportunity to participate in the planning process. We encourage and invite you to take part through the following opportunities;

Public Comment Period
The Black River State Forest Draft Master Plan and Environmental Analysis are available for public comments from May 6 to June 20, 2009. A public open house meeting to present the Draft Master Plan and Environmental Analysis is scheduled for May 28, 2009, from 5:00pm – 7:00pm at the Holiday Inn Express, W10170 Hwy 54 E, Black River Falls.
Public Meeting Summaries
- April 1, 2008. A public meeting to discuss Preferred Alternative and Options was held on April 1, 2008. Over 40 people attended this meeting to share their feedback and perspectives on recreational, land management, and real estate alternatives presented in the Preferred Alternative and Options.
