Detailed information: This meeting has been held annually for several years, and is a great opportunity for property users to learn more about the property and its unique public use opportunities. Beginning with the 2010 waterfowl season, these grassroots efforts resulted in the implementation of a series of special waterfowl hunting season regulations designed to improve waterfowl hunter experience at the Mead Wildlife Area.Topics to be discussed at this year's meeting include: 2016 waterfowl season overview; feedback regarding existing shooting hour and season regulations; McMillan Wildlife Area season overview; canoe tie-up areas; and wetland management plans for Mead and McMillan Marsh Wildlife Areas.

The Waterford Waterway Management District is proposing to dredge approximately 500,000 cubic yards of sediments from the Waterford Dam Impoundment and Tichigan Lake. The reasons for the dredging include re-establishing the Fox River navigational channel through the waterway; establish dredged channels for boating; reestablish access for properties to Tichigan Lake; reduce nutrient loads in the waterway; and improve fish habitat.

The meeting will begin with a presentation outlining the proposal. Staff with the DNR and a consultant to the Waterford Waterway Management District will be on hand to answer questions and take comments. Under the proposal, the dredged material will be placed at the following three locations: the Super Mix sand and gravel quarry, located north of Highway 20 (High Drive) and southwest of Highway 83; a portion of the Tichigan State Wildlife Area west of Marsh Road; and a portion of the Tichigan State Wildlife Area east of Marsh Road.
